Survalent Technology has commissioned a new supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative (SCAEC).

SCAEC serves approximately 9,940 member accounts throughout parts of south central Arkansas, including Clark, Dallas, Hempstead, Howard, Hot Spring, Montgomery, Nevada and Pike counties. The cooperative owns and maintains over 1,810 miles of distribution power lines and nine substations.

The new system features Survalent’s open-architecture system based on Windows Server. It includes several of Survalent's applications, including WorldView, SmartVU, SCADA Explorer, IED Wizard and Control Panel, Remote Alarm Annunciation, MultiSpeak Interfaces, SCADA Add-In, System Configuration Status, SCADA Replicator and WebSurv.
