Atlanta-based utility Georgia Power has entered into a 20-year power purchase agreement to buy the output from a 38.6 MW solar project.

Phoenix Solar Inc. and Silicon Ranch Corp. are building the Simon Solar Farm, located in Georgia. According to the companies, the project will become the state's largest solar installation upon completion.

Site work has already begun at Simon Solar Farm, and the project is scheduled for completion by the end of this year.
