Ellen Tauscher, a former U.S. representative from California, has been elected to the boards of directors of utility Edison International and its subsidiary, Southern California Edison.

Tauscher currently serves as a strategic advisor at business legal services provider Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC. She is the former Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security and served as Special Envoy for Strategic Stability and Missile Defense at the U.S. State Department.

Prior to joining the Obama administration, Tauscher represented California's 10th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she was a member of the Armed Services Committee and Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
