DC Systems Inc., a provider of real-time smart grid software, has hired David Meyers as vice president of sales.

In this role, DC Systems says Meyers will be responsible for driving the adoption of the company's technology by utilities, power generators, grid operators and large energy users. Meyers will report to CEO Douglass Campbell.

Over the past four years, Meyers led sales and business development in the western region at EnerNOC, an energy technology company. Prior to EnerNOC, he was a management consultant to global energy, transportation and logistics enterprises at Oliver Wyman and DMA. He started his career as a naval operations officer.
