Greenbriar Capital Corp., a developer of renewable energy and sustainable real estate projects, has commenced formal construction at its 80 MW Blue Mountain wind farm, located in Utah.

Greenbriar says Blue Mountain holds a 20-year energy sales agreement with utility PacifiCorp, a subsidiary of Mid-American Energy Holdings Co.

According to company, construction has been awarded to Wisconsin-based RMT Inc., a renewable power engineering, procurement and construction services provider.

The project will qualify for $42 million of monetizable federal investment tax credits, Greenbriar notes.
