Mountain View Solar LLC has begun commercial operation of its 20 MW Mountain View Solar Energy Project, located in North Las Vegas, Nev. Mountain View Solar is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources LLC, a wholesale generator of electric power.

NextEra says that all of the power generated by the project is being provided to utility NV Energy under a long-term power purchase agreement.

The facility consists of approximately 84,000 PV modules installed on ground-mounted arrays, NextEra notes. Development began in 2010, with initial project construction starting in early June 2013.
