GE has chosen Trilliant's smart grid communications platform to be part of its Grid IQ solutions-as-a-service offering provided to the City of Holly Springs, Miss.

Trilliant reports that the project utilizes its SecureMesh communication technology and services.

According to Trilliant, Holly Springs is aiming to enhance operational efficiency, improve reliability and increase customer engagement.

Trilliant's communication platform provides utilities with the flexibility to phase in smart grid deployments to meet the most pressing needs first, the company notes.
