Residential solar finance company Clean Power Finance (CPF) has selected Itron Inc. to provide a solar monitoring solution for residential installations across North America.

CPF will use Itron's solution to monitor and sub-meter the energy production of the residential solar systems CPF manages on behalf of investors, Itron reports.

The solar monitoring solution, Itron says, includes its solar meter embedded with cellular communications and Itron Managed Services for managing and monitoring of solar power generation.

The company notes that it began shipping solar meters to CPF partners in December 2013.
