The board of directors of smart grid communications provider Tantalus has appointed Peter Londa president, CEO and board member.

Londa previously served as the CEO of smart grid company BPL Global (BPLG). He was responsible for planning, directing and managing all aspects of the company's strategy, operations, engineering, business development and financing.

Prior to joining BPLG, Londa held various positions within investment banking firms and technology companies, including The Chart Group, Thoughtworks and SG Cowen.

Londa is taking over for outgoing CEO Eric Murray.
