Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. (BGE) has deployed smart grid analytics solutions from software company C3 Energy across its 2 million meter smart grid network.

According to C3, the solutions include C3 Revenue Protection and C3 AMI Operations. The company says the two solutions analyze over 35 billion rows of data from 12 BGE and third-party data sources to provide insight to the utility's revenue protection and grid operational teams.

Specifically, C3 Revenue Protection identifies load profile anomalies and outliers, and C3 AMI Operations validates the operational functionality and integrity of the automated metering infrastructure network, C3 notes.
