Aclara Technologies LLC has named Allan Connolly president and CEO, responsible for growing the company's footprint in the advanced metering infrastructure and smart grid sectors.

Connolly was most recently chief operating officer of Culligan, and he previously held executive and management roles with GE Energy and GE Global Research.

"I am fortunate to have the opportunity to lead Aclara, a company with a strong tradition of quality products and customer service, as well as a loyal customer base," Connolly says. "I relish the opportunity to work in partnership with Aclara's customers and employees to quickly identify the best opportunities and strategies to build the company."
