Landis+Gyr says it has now built and shipped more than 10 million E-350 FOCUS AX meters. The company launched the solid-state, advanced electric meter with integrated service switch in 2007.

Utilities such as Pacific Gas and Electric Co., Pepco Holdings, United Illuminating, Oncor and AEP Texas are using the meter for their smart meter projects.

"The FOCUS AX was designed with the future requirements of advanced metering in mind," says Steven Schamber, vice president and general manager of energy measurement products at Landis+Gyr.
