Energate Inc., a provider of demand response and home energy management solutions, has appointed Thomas Martin its new chief financial officer (CFO). Reporting to Energate CEO Niraj Bhargava, Martin will be responsible for managing and overseeing Energate's financial, business and administrative functions.

Prior to joining Energate, Martin served as CFO of Protus IT Solutions, a provider of software-as-a-service communication tools for small to medium businesses and enterprises.

Martin also worked as CFO and chief operations officer at FuseTalk, director of financial planning and systems at Export Development Corp., and insolvency and restructuring specialist at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
