Elster Solutions has appointed Tom Van Denover as senior vice president of sales and Joe Orlando as head of strategy and marketing for North America.

Van Denover brings to Elster more than 28 years of experience in consultative selling and marketing to utilities worldwide. He joins Elster after serving as senior vice president of sales at Itron/SmartSynch. He has also served in executive positions with Tropos Networks and Comverge.

Orlando will lead Elster Solutions' strategy and marketing organization. He comes to Elster with more than 30 years of experience from IBM, Motorola and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Both Van Denover and Orlando will report directly to Ed Myszka, president of the company.
