C&D Technologies Inc., a global manufacturer of energy storage solutions, has named Christian Rheault president and CEO.

"Christian brings to C&D a proven ability to drive industry-leading technology and quality in an intensely cost-competitive global market," says David L. Treadwell, chairman of C&D. "With Christian's leadership, we will rebuild our leadership position in the industrial battery industry."

Rheault previously served as the senior vice president of global business operations for Kulicke & Soffa Industries Inc., a designer and manufacturer of semiconductor and LED assembly equipment. Prior to Kulicke & Soffa, Rheault held various positions for 10 years at IBM.
