Providence, R.I.-based Utilidata Inc. has announced that Sridhar Ramachandran has joined the company as chief technology officer (CTO).

According to Utilidata, Ramachandran will be responsible for providing the overall technology leadership for the company's digital smart grid solutions. Ramachandran most recently served as CTO of the Telcordia/Ericsson Interconnection Solutions business in New Jersey. Prior to Ericsson, he was co-founder and CTO of Maryland-based NexTone Communications.
