Investor-owned utility Black Hills Energy has issued a request for proposals for up to 30 MW of wind power to serve customers in southern Colorado.

Black Hills Energy says adding another 30 MW of wind generation will assist the company in meeting Colorado's 30% by 2020 renewable portfolio standard. The utility has engaged Accion Group to oversee the bidding process, and bids are due June 14.
